Exclusive Audio: Miranda Lambert Premieres “Over You” for Us Weekly
"It's a very, very personal song," Miranda Lambert tells Us Weekly of her new single, "Over You." It sure sounds like it. The country superstar penned the new single (off her latest disc, Four The Record, out November 1) with her husband, Blake Shelton, about the death of his brother in a 1990 car crash.

So why didn't Shelton sing it himself? She explains: "I asked him a year ago, 'Do you want this song? It's obviously about your life.' And he said he'd rather me have it, mainly because he wasn't sure he could get through it every night onstage. It's one of our favorite songs."

This was good, better than 'Fastest Girl in Town' but below 'Easy Living' imho...she should stick to this kind of tempo songs that suits her vocals better....gj miranda
I love the song, but I had not read the article on who it was about until now. I can understand why Blake was not sure he could sing the song on stage. I could not have if it were about the loss of one of my family members. I will be in the store Tuesday moring to buy the cd!
Such a beautiful song. I can't wait until "Four the Record" on 11/1!!
Were sad for the loss of our loved one but we all have the assurance that through faith in Jesus Christ, we will see our loved ones again in Heaven.

I love this song! I lost my youngest brother 4 years ago in a car accident.. he was my best friend. You never get over something like that, you just learn how to live with their memories ♥
I didn't think she could top House That Built Me, but she has done that with this song. Like a few of you, this song hits too close to home. Such a beautiful song that really shows a more personal side to Miranda. Its wonderful to see her tap into that side of her and show the world a piece of it.
