Hugh Jackman injured his eye doing a crazy stunt in Sydney, Australia on Tuesday for The Oprah Winfrey Show, the Associated Press reports.

The daring Australian actor, 42, was injured while rappelling from the top of the Sydney Opera House onto the makeshift stage. Jackman hit the brakes on his ziplining contraption too late, and smacked his face on a lighting rig.

According to the AP, the show's taping was briefly halted while paramedics examined Jackman -- who was given a glass of red wine to calm down.
Medics quickly gave him the all clear to continue taping. What went wrong?

"I came down waving to everyone, looking over Sydney Harbour, saw my dad, the kids and you (Winfrey), went to pull the brake and then boing," Jackman explained to Oprah Winfrey, according to Reuters.
