ABC's Chris Cuomo has not resigned from the network despite a report by RadarOnline.com.

The site claimed Cuomo, the co-anchor of Good Morning America and a contributor to ABC Evening News, tendered his resignation by email.

A rep for ABC News tells Usmagazine.com the report is untrue.

An ABC News spokesperson also told TVNewser that he spoke to Cuomo about the report.

"I just got off the phone with Chris who told me, 'Nothing could be further from the truth,'" the spokesperson said.

Cuomo will appear on GMA Monday morning as usual.

According to TVNewser, the report that he resigned may have been fueled by rumors that should George Stephanopoulos accept the open GMA co-anchor position that will be vacated by Diane Sawyer at the end of the year, Cuomo would not want to be a part of the show. Sawyer is leaving GMA to host ABC's World News, beginning in January when Charles Gibson retires.

I don't watch Good Morning America anymore. Diane Sawyer's job should have gone to Chris. I have nothing against George, but he doesn't have the personality Chris does. I never in a million years thought I would change to another network, but I have. Big mistake ABC, big mistake letting Chris leave GMA.

I agree Chris is very intelligent, professional, and should have taken the place of Diane Sawyer. He also has a great sence of humour. All the best Chris.

I am very unhappy with George as host of GMA. What is Chris doing now because I will watch whatever he is doing. Get rid of George; bring back Chris.

I love Chris! He should be Diane's replacement -- while I like George I think Chris is a better pick for GMA.

Oh please, "chris cuomo stunt" have you never made a mistake reading something . . . Chris Cuomo is a very intelligent, very professional man, who I would love to see sit as co-anchor. I don't dislike George but the chemistry that Chris brings to the table is awesome. Sour grapes is not in Chris' vocabulary.

Nothing like a well placed 'story' to boost your career after sour grapes for not getting the prime time news hosting gig. Nice job, Chris. Better hope it can't be tied back to your agent or PR. Reading the title of Sarah Palin's book as "Going Rooge" instead of "Going Rouge" was a big gaff.

    I love Chris....he should take Dianne's place.

I can't believe people actually watch this stuff.

Thank GOODNESS Cuomo is not leaving. The professional chemistry between him and Robin Roberts are going to be essential to the continued success of GMA after Diane Sawyer leaves. They are truly the BEST team on morning television.

I AM GLAD HE IS NOT LEAVING. HE IS A NATURAL FOR THE SHOW. HOPEFULLY HE CAN TAKE DIANE SAWYERS PLACE. HONESTLY WITH ALL RESPECT TO MS. SAWYER I THOUGHT THAT CHRIS CUOMO WAS ALSO A GOOD CHOICE FOR THE EVENING NEWS. ANYWAY I AM GLAD HE IS NOT LEAVING.
