Review | Kellie Pickler, 100 Proof

Us Rating: **

It's a shame Kellie Pickler felt she had to try to become Miranda Lambert for her third CD. Country's daffiest blonde, 25, attempts Lambert-style bad-guy bashing (the revenge ballad "Stop Cheatin' on Me") and sentimental odes to her upbringing (the syrupy "Mother's Day"). But Pickler's gritless twang and trite platitudes don't pack nearly the same heat. (19 Entertainment Limited/ BNA Records)
