IN THEATERS FRIDAY 3/12
Tyler (Robert Pattinson) and Ally (Emilie de Ravin) meet at NYU in 2001. Both have baggage: His brother killed himself and her mother was murdered.
The drama -- a far cry from the vampire stories of Twilight -- allows Pattinson to show broad emotional range. But the script is rife with clichés, and the sex is so artily lit it seems direct from cable. Plus, the film never finds a consistent tone, from its shockingly violent opening to its morbid finale.

2I too saw this movie on opening weekend and loved it! it has become my new favorite movie. it was beautiful, and im going to see it again!!
i saw this movie on opening weekend and loved every bit of it. the acting was great all around. this is refreshingly original movie that neeed to be made bc of the message it delivers to the audience. i am glad to have seen it and was in awe of the caliber of emotion it brings out in the audience. i would recommend this movie to any that is up for seeing an original thought and not just a big budget film with all CG stuff. do't get me wrong, i like that sort of movie also, but this was just such a nice fresh relief of what is out there now that it is hard to explain why it touched me so.
