The off-kilter, acclaimed drama about a gun-running motorcycle gang should rev up even latecomers with its season 3 premiere. Picking right up from the finale, sensitive Jax (Charlie Hunnam) searches for his abducted baby boy while his mom, Gemma (Katey Sagal), on the lam from the feds, connives her way out of trouble. Though Sons veers toward the preposterous (Jax's love is a do-gooding surgeon!), it's still a riveting mix of absorbing melodrama and mayhem. Tonight's final minutes are shocking too. (FX, 10 P.M.)
