Sandra Bullock Beats Jen Aniston, Reese as Highest Paid Actress

Even a tough personal year can still end in financial gold.
Though she had a rough year that included a messy divorce with cheating ex-husband Jesse James and raising adopted son Louis on her own, Sandra Bullock came out on top as the highest paid actress of the year, according to Forbes magazine.

Between June 2009 and June 2010, Bullock, 46, raked in $56 million from her box office hits The Blind Side and The Proposal.
Forbes spoke with agents, producers, managers and lawyers to find out what the stars were paid for shooting their movies and the "back-end" pay they earned after their films were released in theaters. Forbes also factored in additional dollar amounts the stars may have earned from other projects like ad campaigns or fashion lines.
Other stars who ranked behind Bullock?
Cameron Diaz tied for second place with Reese Witherspoon, who netted $32 million in upfront pay from her still in-progress Water for Elephants and her gig as an Avon spokeswoman.
Rounding out the top 5 are Jennifer Aniston ($27 million) and Sarah Jessica Parker ($25 million).
Missing from the list: Angelina Jolie, who didn’t release any films during the time period calculated by Forbes.

Actually Jolie did make the list at #6 or #7 with the $20 million she got for Salt. And before the loons go off and say she's so powerful she makes $20 million even though she didn't have a movie out last year blah, blah. Reese Witherspoon made the list for residuals from two films that came out the year before.
I don't know. Cameron and Reese seem to be what they used to call Box Office Poison. Their movies just don't make money. Jennifer squeezes herself into another mini and puts on the high heels and makes basically the same romcom over and over at a frantic pace. Her movies don't make money either. She hasn't stretched herself as an actress since the Good Girl. What does this say about our country when we're willing to continually pour money down a rat hole? Sad.

For someone who can't act Jen sure makes a lot of money. Doesn't make sense. Can't figure out how she gets these roles. The films would be sooo much better if they would cast someone other than her.
