Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta‘s emotional Friday, January 22, episode features bride Anna Bozman paying tribute to her late son, as seen in Us Weekly’s exclusive clip.
Anna’s son Lake was eight years old when he died in May 2015 after a battle with leukemia. Anna married her longtime boyfriend in October 2015, and the family’s story went viral when she posted wedding photos to social media that showed a ghostlike image of Lake next to the couple and their two other children.
In the TLC reality series’ footage, salon owner Lori Allen and image consultant Monte Durham meet with Anna two days before her nuptials, bringing potential gowns to her home because she didn’t have time to shop on her own.
“Even though Lake’s not here, I know he wants me to be happy,” Anna tells the camera. “I know that.”
The salon staff came equipped with dresses that Anna’s parents had picked, along with a few that had caught the bride-to-be’s eye.
“[Anna’s mom] and I didn’t know if we’d ever get to see her in a beautiful dress like that,” Anna’s dad says, after witnessing her in the wedding gown he chose.
