Selena Gomez: I'm Not a New Moon Fan!

Selena Gomez isn't a a fan of Twilight or New Moon.

"I don't watch them," she admitted to Bonnie Hunt on a pre-taped interview for her talk show Wednesday. "Sorry, I feel bad ... even though I am a teenager."
But it doesn't seem that she dislikes the series because of her ex, Taylor Lautner, 17. (The two were first spotted getting cozy while Lautner filmed in Vancouver in April, but they split in early June.)

When Hunt asked if she was on Team Edward or Team Jacob, she opted to root for Lautner's werewolf character over Robert Pattinson.
Gomez isn't the only Disney Channel star to diss on the Twilight Saga.

Miley Cyrus has no interest in the vampire franchise, either.
"I've never seen it and nor will I ever," Cyrus, 16, said recently during an interview with Cleveland radio station Q92. "I don't believe in it. I don't like vampires. ... I don't want anything to do with it. I don't like the shirts. I don't like any of it."
Gomez's appearance on The Bonnie Hunt Show will air Dec. 16.

Why are people even freaking out about this? It isn't that serious. Selena doesn't like the movies, so what? She never said anything bad about it. Many people don't like the Twilight series and no one says anything about them, but why if Selena says she doesn't like it everyone freaks out? O.o
I Hate Selena, Miley and Taylor and whoever thiks they can try to get with the Twilight stars just to make them more popular they need to stick with disney and country and stay the Hell away from them!!!

wow ... i recently saw an interview where they asked selena about twilight and she said she didnt start getting into the books until she met Taylor Lautner ... hmmm o_O
MILEY CYRUS IS SO...I saw that interview where she said she didn't like it and she was so rude she's just jealous because the spotlights not on her anymore and she's just old news now .She doesn't have the decency to be like Selena and mildly say 'I don't watch Twilight' instead she says "Oh,I like hate Twilight and Vampires and Wolves and...".

I think it's absolutely fine for them not to like it. It's their opinion, just like we have ours. I personally LOVE the book series SOOOOOOO much more than the movies. So, if we were going off of that, then I would agree. Kristin Stewart is not Bella and Robert Pattinson is not Edward. But then again, the books made it almost impossible to find an actual human being that could compete with the hype. Edward was supposed to be perfection itself. . . and what person could honestly live up to that expectation? But I LOVE the Twilight series and am a die-hard Twilighter and still see nothing wrong with Miley and Selena not being fans. Violetfemme09, you're too cute! You must be 12-14 years old and really into the series, but remember that everyone is entitled to their opinion. . . even if they DO have horrible taste! LOL! ;-D
At least she didn't diss Twilight in a put down sort of way. She just said she doesn't watch them and she even APOLOGISED. There's nothing wrong about stating one's own opinion. Not everyone in the entire world have to like Twilight. And not everyone has to hate it either. It's okay to be honest in a tactful way.
