Suicide Squad is going to be one scary ride! The film's director David Ayer released a photo of the cast in full costume for the first time via Twitter on Sunday, May 3 — and boy is it a doozy!
"Task Force X assembled and ready. #SuicideSquad," Ayer captioned the group shot of the supervillains.
Each character is either carrying a weapon or covering their face with intense makeup. Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) in particular has a punk-rock vibe as she wears tiny black bottoms and high pigtails. Either way, everyone looks like they're ready for battle.
The film also stars Will Smith (Deadshot), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luthor), Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Viola Davis (Amanda Waller), and Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc).
One terrifying character noticeably left out? The Joker! Luckily, Jared Leto's absence isn't a crazy upset. Late last month, Ayer posted a pic of the Batman villain too. "The Suicide Squad wishes you a Happy Anniversary Mr. J!" he wrote at the time.
In this movie, The Joker is covered with hideous tattoos, with one saying "Damaged" on his forehead. He rocks neon green hair, a purple glove, and red lipstick.
Suicide Squad drops on Aug. 5, 2016.
