The Hoff is coming back to  TV.

On Wednesday -- about a week after he was booted from America's Got Talent -- it was announced that David Hasselhoff would star in a docu-drama on A&E later this year. The 10-episode series will feature him helping his daughters, Taylor-Ann, 19, and Hayley, 17, break into the entertainment industry.

"It's the dream of every parent to be able to help their child succeed," Hasselhoff, 57, says in a statement. "I told the girls that I would help them open the door when they are ready, but they would have to walk through it on their own."

The former Baywatch star has appeared on camera with Hayley before. In 2007, she taped her father -- who has long battled alcoholism -- drunkenly eating a cheeseburger. The clip was later leaked on the Internet.
