Aussie sportswriter Joe Warr (Clive Owen) has to stop jet-setting when his wife dies, forcing him to raise his two sons solo. The drama’s poignancy and charm come from Warr’s learning the joys — and grind — of single parenting. Compassionately directed by Shine's Scott Hicks, the naturalistic movie displays an all-too-rare portrait of fathers and sons.
