Wasn't necessarily funny but Jen still makes me smile when I see her. That is a good thing.
Four friends came over to the house last night. The big event was an hour of Modern Family with the excitement of kicking off Cougar Town. We were prepared to watch Courteney Cox's Cougar Town with cocktails, martinis, angel food cake, large amounts of Costco ice cream with blue berry pie - Basically we love Courteney's show better than the Food Channels "Iron Chef". As friends with little time to budget, together we all wanted to make an evening event on Wednesday nights - A time to laugh with friends over a terrific comedy, Courteney's Cougar Town. We have been so proud of Courteney after trying her hand with shows like Dirt or the disaster known as Daisy Does America. Cougar Town allows fans to laugh out loud again. Courteney Cox showed us that she could carry a show. I guess it was wishful thinking. Cox had to muddle another good opportunity by turning a TV show we look forward to into a session spiced with regret. Jennifer Aniston ruined all our plans - Cougar Town was not worth watching. I have a good book next to me by Milan Kundera. I know because I picked it up and began thumbing the pages. First during commercials. Then the show. My friends asked me what I was browsing. Jennifer Aniston turned our attention away from Cox's TV show. Cougar Town was no more - Interest was void.No more wasting time Wednesday nights. Courteney Cox destroyed Cougar Town by bringing Jennifer Aniston anywhere near the show. Aniston is not talented. Aniston is definitely not funny. Nothing bombs faster than a bad joke. With all the success, all the amazing writers, all the chemistry on Cougar Town - Why did the producers have to let viewers us down? I hope the advertisers walk away from the decision makers calling themselves producers. We have better things to do. We realize that after seeing Aniston on Cougar Town last night. Furthermore, we realize why Brad Pitt left Jennifer for a movie star with the heightened talent of Jolie. The evening food lost its flavor. The ice cream melted. The pie turned tasteless. The alcohol turned to black tea. The anticipation of the show was spoiled. Maybe our friends will go online to watch episodes, but we aren't sitting around the house if the producers of Cougar Town decide to destroy our time with their terrible, regrettable show. Who made the decision to let Aniston join the chemistry of the cast? What was your plan? Business plan? Marketing plan? What did the producers hope to accomplish by letting Aniston join the session premier? Who were the producers trying to market to? Basically, who was responsible for ruining our evening? Did we enjoy FRIENDS? In the past, yes. Absolutely. FRIENDS "was" a great comedy. With excellent chemistry. FRIENDS is in the past. We appreciate the reruns, but the glamor of Aniston has faded. I love this show. Jen was good. Courtney is the heart of this show, but yeah she does look like she got a tad too much botox.
Courteney's face looks a little freakish. I would really like this show if it weren't for her annoying character, Jules. She drives me crazy, like nails on a chalkboard. Had to stop watching it mid-way through last season. Too bad, because the rest of the characters and show are hilarious.
Her acting was very forced & unnatural. It wasn't even acting, she is like this in interviews I think her laugh is the most annoying thing I have ever heard. It is a typical smokers laugh. Plus the Asian adoption joke was pathetic. It shows once again an obsession with the Jolie-Pitt family. Just like how her bff Chealsea Handler tells racist & awful jokes about them all the time.
I was rather disapointed in Jennifer's performance. I expected more it was a big let down. And what happened to Jules' face she looks terrible..way too much botox.
