Well, what do you know! Kim Kardashian discovered that she has something in common with the late famed novelist Ernest Hemingway during a recent family trip to Cuba. In an upcoming Keeping Up With the Kardashians episode, the mom of two visits Hemingway’s old home with Kourtney Kardashian. The historic landmark has been turned into a museum since his death in 1961.
“We’re excited just because we studied about Hemingway, and it’s cool to see how people lived,” Kourtney, 37, says in a preview clip.
Hemingway’s personal belongings were left exactly as they were when he lived in the house. The reality stars marvel over his old magazines, paintings, furniture and books. But it’s Hemingway’s bathroom that really interests Kim.
“One of the most interesting things here is on the wall. That’s Hemingway’s writing,” the tour guide explains in the sneak peek. “You see the scale there? He’d check his weight almost every day and take notes on the wall.”
“That’s like me! I do [that],” Kim chimes in. Later, in a confessional, she adds: “This house is so cool. It’s such a part of Cuban history.”
The Kardashian family traveled to Cuba in May, five months after Kim and Kanye West welcomed their second child, son Saint. (The couple are also parents of daughter North, 3.) That same month, Kim revealed that she was back to her pre-baby weight after dropping 70 pounds.
Last month, she showed off her bod via Snapchat. “26 W!!!” she captioned a photo of herself getting measured while half-naked. The Selfish author slimmed down with the help of the Atkins 40 meal plan and trainer Don Brooks.
KUWTK airs Sundays on E! at 9 p.m. ET.
