No I don't like her not because of any other reason than she is running her mouth a lot about America, the "people who don't have anything because they don't work for it".   As much as I dislike Miley Cyrus, I have to admit that she is 100% right. If parents blame her for their children misbehaving, then they obviously did a poor job of raising their kids and are looking for someone to blame.   a role model is someone who has an impact on people. there are good role models and bad role models. she does make an impact on people, she has made an impact on everyone who has been posting comments on here. she's doing a good job. she's not drinking, or doing drugs, or staying out all night partying. her photo was not that big of a deal, it's only dirty if you make it dirty, she didn't expose her body in any way

  My issue is with Miley saying she IS a "role model". She WANTS to be considered a role model and she billed herself to parents and children as such and then turned around and posed for an inappropriate photo shoot and is now dancing on a pole in her concerts. If you don't want to be a role model, don't sell stuff to children with your face on it. No one is saying their children will turn out wrong because of Miley, but people are asking for accountability from anyone who proclaims themselves a "role model". If you can't follow up on being a "role model", then don't say you are one!

  In being a "role model" the way you act says more than words could ever say. If Miley thinks that posing for a photo shoot in which she gave the illusion of being half naked and pole dancing, all the while on a show for children, and proclaiming her "role model status, don't 'say' anything, she is very wrong. Don't get me wrong, I don't think she is responsible for "parenting" anyone's child, but being a role model isn’t just about what you say, it’s how you act. She marketed herself on products for little girls, everything from PJs to dolls; again, in addition to being on a show where she knew her target audience was children. She had no trouble accepting all of the profits that came from that marketing, so she shouldn’t take her ‘job’ as a role model so lightly. The things she did that were controversial could have waited until she was off of the Disney channel, but she wanted it all, to be provocative and yet receive the profits from the children that made her who she is. I think one day she will see that "role model" is a word not to be bantered about lightly.
