This Judd Apatow bromance pairs cranky, terminally ill comic George (Adam Sandler) with rising standup Ira (Seth Rogen), whom the former hires as his assistant. While the sidesplitting bits -- like the banter between Ira's roommates (Jason Schwartzman and Jonah Hill) -- satisfy, the bloated flick disappoints when it abruptly turns serious. At least the extras, such as a gag reel and footage of Rogen's first stand-up act at age 13, provide extended laughs. (Universal Studios, $30)
