That's not Acting Like a Lady!
Over the weekend Steve Harvey's second ex-wife, Mary, blasted the comedian and best-selling author, 54, in a series of YouTube videos, claiming he was unfaithful during their 17-year-marriage, left her broke, and took custody of their thirteen-year-old son, Wynton.
But Mary's former assistant tells UsMagazine.com that's not what happened.
"Mary was overwhelmed and asked me to get a ticket and put Wynton on the plane to his father," says the assistant. "I put him on the plane and let Steve know."
The erstwhile employee goes on to explain that despite her rant, Mary was never destitute and was actually receiving $40,000 per month from the Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man author throughout their 2005 divorce.
Calling Mary "erratic," the assistant says, "One moment she'll be fine and the next she'll go completely left on you."
Harvey, who married Marjorie Bridges in 2007, briefly addressed the issue on his syndicated talk show Monday.
"I know the truth," said Harvey. "I don’t care what you say about me, but my wife and kids are off limits."
