Dior makeup creative director Peter Philips sought to create the “graphic projection” of ultra-long eyelashes at the Dior Haute Couture show on Monday, January 22, by using eyeliner to draw “long, precise lashes” on the upper and lower eyelids. He also stretched the design up toward the temples for an avant-garde cat eye. To make the high-fashion look more wearable, we’ll be trying the design exclusively on our upper lash line.
Giorgio Armani international makeup artist Linda Cantello blended pastel shades of pale green, sky blue and mauve at the Giorgio Armani Privé show on Tuesday, January 23, to bring Mr. Armani’s vision of “a cloudy sky” to life. Our favorite part? The individual lashes placed at the outer corners for an eye-opening effect.
Bella Hadid complemented her micro-bangs at the Dior Masquerade Ball on Monday, January 22, with a glittery feline flick created by makeup artist Naoko Scintu, who used a highly-pigmented shimmering gold shadow to fill in the model’s lids and sculpt the winged-out look.
Models at the Iris Van Herpen Haute Couture show on Tuesday, January 22, proved the best way to finish-off a no makeup makeup look is with a dash of bold under-eye liner. Cobalt blue, lime green and bright yellow were the shades of choice on the runway, but the technicolor options are endless.
While a steady hand is certainly necessary to recreate the exaggerated half-moon design models sported at the Jean-Paul Gaultier show on Wednesday, January 24, we’re more than willing to try our patience if it means achieving this ultra-modern look.
