Mon dieu!
Montreal police have arrested a man for breaking into the Laval, Quebec home of Celine Dion — where he drew a bath and raided her fridge, the BBC reports.
The 43-year-old French-Canadian singer and husband Rene Angelil were not home at the time of the bizarre break-in. According to police spokesman Franco Di Genova, local man Daniel Bedard, 36, jumped a fence and then used a garage door opener (discovered in an unlocked car) to break into the house, located just outside Montreal.
"He opened the water faucets, was pouring a nice warmish bath," Di Genova said. "He even managed to eat some pastry that was in the fridge."
The intruder eventually set off a security alarm; Bedard then claimed to officers he was a "family friend" of the music super couple.
Officers later found snack wrappers in the kitchen and cigarette butts and discarded notes in an office.
Bedard was charged with breaking and entering, car theft and property damage; he was briefly sent to the hospital for psychiatric evaluations, but was released on Tuesday morning.
Dion and Angelil, 69, are parents to son Rene-Charles, 10, and twin boys Eddy and Nelson, who were born in October 2010.
