You can always count on Chrissy Teigen to be real with her followers. This time, the 32-year-old supermodel documented herself trying out three different beauty treatments — one being vaginal steaming.
Teigen shared an Instagram photo on Monday, June 18, with the caption: “face mask / heat pad / vagina steam no I don’t know if any of this works but it can’t hurt right? *vagina dissolves*”
In the picture, the beauty is sitting on top of the steamer with a towel draped over her thighs, and she’s wearing a white face mask, as well as a heating pad around her neck. The post comes just one month after she welcomed her second child — a baby boy named Miles — with husband John Legend.
And followers were quick to chime in with their adoration for the Cravings author. “This is why I love you. The truth isn’t always pretty. Motherhood is a beast. You’re slaying it. From one mother to another you for your amazing honesty,” one follower wrote. Another added: “I have no words for how great this is! Every mom can relate…for real, tho!”
Gwyneth Paltrow raved about the benefits of vaginal steaming in a post to her website Goop in 2015 after she gave the treatment a shot, claiming that the benefits include cleansing your vagina and uterus. “You sit on what is essentially a mini-throne,” Paltrow explained in a Goop post at the time. “And a combination of infrared and mugwort steam cleanses your uterus, et al.”
Teigen doesn’t shy away from showing her not-so-perfect reality on social media. Earlier this week, 39-year-old Legend snapped a pic of the Lip Sync Battle host pumping breast milk on the way to Father’s Day dinner on Sunday, June 17.
“I know it’s Father’s Day and all but my wife is pretty awesome,” he captioned the Instagram picture of her pumping in a car. “She’s taking me to dinner but still on mommy duty.”
Teigen and Legend tied the knot in September 2013 and are also parents of daughter, Luna, 2.
