Method acting?
Winona Ryder stepped out on the set of Homefront Monday, Oct. 22 in New Orleans, La. looking totally in character.
The 40-year-old actress showed off her cleavage in a loose-fitting "Full Moon" tank top, which she wore over a sexy red cami. The slim star also carried a book titled Myth and Method, and smoked a cigarette while walking around the set.
Ryder reportedly stars in the upcoming film as a biker chick who teams up with a methamphetamine dealer (James Franco, 34). Homefront was written by Sylvester Stallone and follows a former DEA agent (Jason Statham, 45), who moves to a small town with his family and gets involved with the local dealer. The action thriller also stars Kate Bosworth, who plays the meth-addicted sister of Franco's character.
The Beetlejuice actress has worked on several film projects this year including The Iceman and Frankenweenie. During a press conference at the Toronto International Film Festival on Sept. 10, a reporter asked Ryder if she felt "welcome again in Hollywood."
"Well . . . Um . . . I don't . . . I was asked that question in Venice. I don't know if I'm developing a little bit of a complex because I don't know if you're saying, 'We missed you!' or 'What are you doing here?'" Ryder responded to the uncomfortable question.
But she said she's excited for the future of her career.
"I'm now 40 and I'm actually psyched for 40 and psyched to get older because I think you get more comfortable with yourself, and it's more interesting, and the roles — the size doesn't really matter," she explained. "Usually those kinds of roles are more interesting. For me as an actress. . . it takes something very special for me to want to leave my life."
