Prince Harry will be making stops in several major U.S. cities during his upcoming visit to America beginning May 9, St. James's Palace announced on Monday, March 25 — but Sin City is not one of them.
The young royal will instead by paying a visit to Colorado to attend several events at the 2013 Warrior Games (a series of sporting events that allows wounded, ill and injured service members to compete in Olympic-type games), as well as making stops along the east coast.
Harry, 28, is set to visit areas badly affected by Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey, as well as a landline clearance exhibition on Capitol Hill and the Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C., his itinerary reveals.
Also on the agenda? An event in New York City to help promote the GREAT campaign, a community baseball program that works in partnership with the Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
His last stop looks to be the Sentebale Polo Cup in Greenwich, Conn.
"Prince Harry wants to highlight once again the extraordinary commitment and sacrifice of our injured servicemen and women," Jamie Lowther-Pinkerton, Harry's private secretary, tells Us.
Harry, who is third in line for the throne, made headlines in August 2012 after two nude photos of the royal redhead leaked online following his bender in Las Vegas. After sending the Royal Palace into a PR frenzy, the Prince apologized and embarked on his second tour of duty in Afghanistan.
"I let my family down," he told reporters in January. "But at the end of the day I was in a private area and there should be a certain amount of privacy that one should expect. Back home all my close friends rallied round me and were great."
