After a very rough week, Lisa Vanderpump was eliminated Tuesday, April 9 on Dancing With the Stars — and she's a bit relieved. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star told reporters after the show that juggling her shows, businesses and illness made it difficult to compete.
"I have an element of relief, to be honest, because I have been feeling so crappy," Vanderpump, 52, said of being sent home during week 4 of the ABC dancing competition show. "I feel better today. It's been an incredible experience, and you can't minimize it, but wow, it's been tough, absolutely."
The Bravo star and restaurant owner fainted during rehearsal this week after battling a cold. "We went straight to the doctor and he said, 'Your heart rate's too fast, your blood pressure's too low, you have a temperature.' I was a mess, but what do you do? Fainting was weird though, I didn't like seeing that on the playback."
Going into the competition on Tuesday, Vanderpump knew she wasn't prepared to dance her best with partner Gleb Savchenko. "I knew I'd regret it if I didn't do it," she said of competing. "I knew I wasn't well rehearsed, but I wanted to give it my best try."
The Vanderpump Rules star admitted that she's not crying over her elimination because "it's a bit of a relief."
"It's been six long weeks! I've got two shows, I've got two businesses and a business under construction. I have a lot going on!" she said. "We knew we weren't going to win . . . I'm a 52-year-old restauranteur, give me a break!"
