How low can they go?! That’s the question people are asking about celebs like Kim Kardashian, Miranda Kerr, Cara Delevingne, and Gwyneth Paltrow, who are part of a trend of fashion-savvy stars flaunting their assets in dangerously deep necklines — and risking wardrobe malfunctions in the process.
Kardashian, 32, took the trend to extremes on Tuesday, Oct. 1, when she hit the streets of Paris with Givenchy designer Riccardo Tisci. Joining the city’s creme de la creme at a cocktail party for Carine Roitfeld‘s Mademoiselle C documentary, the reality star and new mom (to daughter North, 3 months) put her post-baby body on parade in a cleavage-baring black gown with a wide-open neckline and triangle-shaped waist cutouts.
The frock, which Kanye West‘s girlfriend paired with an oversized black coat and maroon-colored lipstick, just barely contained Kardashian’s famous curves. And she’s not the only celeb daring to bare almost all.
Supermodel Kerr also displayed some major cleavage this week, in a loose-fitting off-white dress with a deep-V cut nearly to her navel. The Victoria’s Secret Angel, 30 — who, like Kardashian, is in France for Paris Fashion Week — left very little to the imagination as she arrived at Stella McCartney’s runway show on Monday, Sept. 30.
Paltrow appears to be taking the plunge, too. The Iron Man 3 star, 41, turned up the sex appeal in downtown L.A. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in a black tuxedo jacket with nothing (not even a bra!) underneath. Paltrow rocked the daring, decolletage-revealing outfit as part of her ad campaign for Hugo Boss’ Jour Pour Femme fragrance.
It girl Delevingne sported a very similar look at the Mademoiselle C party in France, but the model’s tuxedo-inspired ensemble was a one-piece jumpsuit. The top of the suit was open to her navel, exposing her toned torso and a hint of underboob.
