Party like it's 1989! Hugh Jackman started 2014 by going back in time to the 1980s and returning with a new — or, in this case, old — hairstyle. On Tuesday, Jan. 7, the Les Miserables actor shared a picture of himself rocking a mullet on the set of his new movie.
"Day 1 on Chappie! Vincent is born, rocking the mullet," the hunky Australian, 45, captioned the Instagram photo, which shows his brown locks cropped short in the front and on the sides, with tufts of curls peeking out from the back. "Working with [director] Neill Blomkamp in SA. This film is rad."
Details about the movie are scarce, but Blomkamp, who directed Matt Damon in Elysium, has said it will be a blend of sci-fi and comedy, based on his short film Tetra Vaal. He co-wrote the script with wife Terri Tatchell.
In addition to Jackman — no stranger to changing his hair for movie roles — the movie stars Dev Patel and Sigourney Weaver. It's set to be released in 2015.
