SJP, you ’90s princess!
Sarah Jessica Parker has been busy filming her latest film, the romcom All Roads Lead to Rome, in the Eternal City itself, but it was only when we spotted her dressed up on Sunday, Nov. 2, that we realized what a bold fashionista her latest character must be, too.
Parker, 49—in character as mom Maggie, who’s running around Italy in search of her rebellious teen daughter—has finally found herself a muse who loves vintage clothing as much as she does. Just look at these hardcore ’90s styles she’s been rocking around Rome.
Out and about in the Italian capital, the Sex and the City star took in the sights in a fit-and-flare floral dress over gray leggings. Surely, that can still be seen on the streets today, but her purple sandals with paisley socks combination (from the set on Oct. 23) was plucked straight out of the grunge era. Fiercer yet, Parker tucked her slim black pants into said socks—a throwback fashion statement if we ever saw one.
Also while filming on Oct. 23, the mother of three—James, 12, and twins Marion and Tabitha, 5—worked the most ’90s-tastic look of all: a floral dress over wide-leg mushroom gray pants. How very Angela Chase of the costume designers on this set!
