She’s back!
Following a string of, ahem, interesting outfits anchored by a bulky plaid skirt, Evangeline Lilly returned to her fashion-forward roots at The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies movie premiere in London on Monday, Dec. 1.
The actress, 35, wowed the crowd in a Reem Acra strapless satin ball gown with an embroidered nude bodice, highlighted by tiny turquoise stones. She paired the look with a black Edie Parker clutch.
That’s not all that changed: The Lost alum’s disheveled wavy bob was replaced by sleek straight tresses that shined all the way down the red carpet. The actress sported a glowing face with warm, bronzy skin, while a soft gray smoky eye made her green eyes pop.
As cover star for Fashion magazine’s winter 2015 issue, Lilly, who released a new children’s book, The Squickerwonkers, shared her thoughts on how she views fashion. “If you are not a clearly defined human being, it is very hard to define your image,” she said.
“And, it is such a difficult thing to navigate.” She added, “What I’ve realized in my own journey in fashion is that I’m not that defined. I do feel like I am at ease in my own skin when I find an androgynous balance.”
