Grey's Anatomy's Sarah Drew has welcomed her second child into the world — and she's named her daughter Hannah Mali Rose.
Drew and her husband, college lecturer Peter Lanfer, were a little surprised when baby Hannah came into the world on Wednesday, Dec. 3, three-and-a-half weeks early, her rep tells Us Weekly.
The little tyke weighed an impressive 6lbs, 14oz and measured 21 inches in length when she was born. Baby Hannah is the couple's second child. They already have a son, Micah Emmanuel, 2.
"We are thrilled to welcome baby Hannah Mali Rose to our family," the delighted duo told Us. "Although we kept her gender a surprise until her birthday, Micah somehow knew she'd be a girl from the moment we told him we were pregnant. He is over the moon to be big brother to sweet Hannah."
The Everwood alum was well prepped for motherhood by her Grey's Anatomy costars.
"I got great advice about nausea from Ellen Pompeo" Drew told Us before son Micah was born. "She's a wealth of information: She's done all the research and looked into every possible way of doing things."
"I've gotten some great advice from Jessica Capshaw, especially about the brand of Pampers I'm supposed to be using," she added. "And I had great advice from Chyler Leigh about breastfeeding."
