But what will she be wearing?
Kate Middleton is turning 33 on Friday, Jan. 9, and is celebrating the big day in a not-so-royal fashion. Instead of a lavish party or a royal engagement, the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge will be having a low-key affair with Prince William and Prince George.
An insider tells Us Weekly that the trio are currently spending time at Anmer Hall on the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, where they’ve been staying since Christmas. Kensington Palace adds that she will be enjoying her day “in private.”
Middleton’s wish for a cozy, quiet evening for her birthday is a familiar one. Last year, she had a small party at Kensington Palace when she turned 32. Along with her husband and the couple’s little one, she was feted by parents Carole and Michael Middleton, and siblings Pippa and James. Housekeeper Antonella Fresolone prepared a meal for the guests.
“[It] was easier than going out and leaving George at home,” an insider told Us at the time. “She doesn’t like a big fuss.”
After spending time with her family, Middleton will next head back to work with several planned engagements. She will meet with a group called Family Friends, which helps disadvantaged families with emotional support. She will also name The Clore Art Room at Barlby Primary School in London, and take part in workshops for The Art Room, an organization that provides therapy to children.
