Driving Us crazy! Melissa Joan Hart reunited with her “(You Drive Me) Crazy” pal Britney Spears at the singer’s Las Vegas show on Wednesday, Feb. 18 — bringing back so many Nicole and Chase memories!
Hart, 38, reconnected with Spears backstage at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino, a source tells Us Weekly. The former ’90s child star then joined a group of girlfriends at one of the VIP tables to watch the show.
“Ready to see @britneyspears #workbitch on stage at @PHVegas. #pieceofme #girlsnight #kingofharts,” Hart captioned an Instagram pic. Wishing Modern Family’s Jesse Tyler Ferguson had joined her, she added: “Without my wings I feel so small! @britneyspears #pieceofme wish you were here @jessetyler & @justinmikita!”
Hart starred opposite Adrian Grenier in the 1999 flick Drive Me Crazy, playing childhood friends (Nicole and Chase) that repair their relationship in high school. The actors went on to star in Spears’ “(You Drive Me) Crazy” music video, which was the film’s theme song.
In November 2013, Hart recalled leaving Spears behind at a club during an interview on the Bethenny show. “She was underage so I snuck her in the backdoor and we did a little dancing,” she said. “And then people sort of swarmed on top of her and then she got stuck at a table hanging out with people, chitchatting. I was like, ‘I’ve got to go to work tomorrow can I go?’ And she was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, go, I am good. They will get me home.'”
Since then, Hart and Spears have both become moms. Hart and her husband Mark Wilkerson are parents to sons Mason, 9, Braydon, 6, and Tucker, 2. Spears shares sons Sean, 9, and Jayden, 8, with ex-husband Kevin Federline.
