The zombies might not be Rick Grimes’ (Andrew Lincoln) biggest enemy in Season 6 of The Walking Dead. The AMC hit debuted a trailer for the new season at its 2015 San Diego Comic-Con panel, and the four-minute clip is as intense and dramatic as any episode.
“I don’t take chances anymore,” Rick says. “We’ll make this work. Keep this place safe. Keep our families safe.”
But not everyone falls in line with the Ricktatorship’s way of thinking. “So we’re all just supposed to fall in line behind you,” asks Ethan Embry, who is presumably playing an Alexandria resident in the upcoming 16-episode season.
Another person who might not agree with Rick? Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), who sounds like he could be aligning himself with the Alexandria crew.
AMC also announced in the Hall H Comic-Con panel that the series will return Sunday, Oct. 11 at 9 p.m. with a special 90-minute episode. The second half will debut in February 2016.
Check out the nail-biting clip — which also includes a fair amount of zombie killing (duh) — above. Take it from Glenn (Steven Yeun): “People are scared.”
