NOOOOOO! Nicky Hilton’s perfectly elegant royal-inspired wedding day had just one minor, er, major, snafu — her reportedly $77,000 Valentino wedding dress’ veil got stuck underneath a car wheel while she made her way to Kensington Palace’s Orangery on Friday, July 10.
Albeit a Bentley, but still, damage could have been done to the gorgeous piece of luxurious lace.
According to photos, however, the Hilton heir’s big day went off without any other mishaps.
The 365 Style author, who got engaged to James Rothschild in August 2014, said “I do” to the banking heir at the Orangery, located inside Kensignton Gardens, and from the looks of it, gave Kate Middleton and Prince William, who were not in attendance, a run for their money.
The lavish nuptials came as no surprise. After all, the couple’s wedding registry reportedly totaled $28,000 in items, complete with $5,000 for John Derian lamps.
Prior to tying the knot, Hilton and Rothschild were feted by family and friends, including Paris Hilton and Dorothy Wang, at the Spencer House on Thursday, July 9.
Chelsea Clinton and Kate Beckinsale were among those in attendance Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. Rothschild met in 2011 at billionaire Petra Eccelstone’s equally over-the-top wedding to James Stunt.
