50 Cent is not happy with AT&T after its relationship with the Starz network soured

50 Cent is taking AT&T to task. The "My Life" rapper, 40, slammed the company on Sunday, July 19, calling it "racist" because of a recent decision concerning the Starz network.

News broke this past weekend that AT&T U-verse may no longer carry Starz after a failure to reach a distribution deal. Talks between the two parties continue, but if a deal is not reached, U-verse subscribers will no longer be able to watch the network's shows, such as the hit 50 Cent-starring drama, Power.

"Man Im sorry I have to say this, but AT&T is racist they have had issues in the past and here we go again," 50 Cent wrote in the caption to an Instagram photo of himself. "500,000 homes will not be able to view the next episode of POWER… If your a fan of POWER and you have AT&T as a cable carrier, you will no longer see it. Switch to Anything but AT&T."

The "Candy Shop" performer went on to expand on said issues, referencing former AT&T President Aaron Slator, who was fired earlier this year when racist texts and images were allegedly found on his work phone

"When this was happening they were saying they had the STARZ and other networks that created programming targeting multiple ethnicity's now I guess (THERE NOT F–KING WITH N—-S).SMH," 50 captioned a screenshot of an article about Slator's firing

"Change your cable package from AT&T to anything else," the musician added. "It's 2015 and these people are still racist. They are dropping all channels that are considered urban friendly. This sh!t is sad."

A rep for AT&T released a statement on the matter following 50 Cent's tweets, telling Deadline, "Starz and their paid talent can spin up whatever they like, but the bottom line is we’re NOT going to negotiate a deal that is bad for customers. In these negotiations, our customers are all that matter to us."
