Creepy from the start! AMC's spinoff of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead, will terrify you from the first three eerie minutes, which the network has released online ahead of the series' Aug. 23 premiere.
In the clip, you'll see new character Nick, played by Frank Dillane (aka Harry Potter's Tom Riddle), wake up from what appears to be a drug-induced haze inside a graffiti'd church-turned-drug hovel.
He stumbles around the building, searching for his friend Gloria, even grabbing a decorative sword from the floor of the trashed church to arm himself when he hears screaming and realizes something is definitely wrong.
Nick continues to investigate the creepy, candlelit silence, only to find a trail of bloody dead bodies and his missing companion feasting on human flesh.
So, to answer the question we're all wondering: Yes, it looks like Fear the Walking Dead will be just as terrifying as the original series.
Fear the Walking Dead premieres Sunday, Aug. 23, at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
