Owned! Chrissy Teigen already (sorta) apologized for her “hooha”-baring American Music Awards dress, even though she didn’t have to. But the haters just kept coming during a Thanksgiving-themed Twitter Q&A on Tuesday, November 22, and naturally, Teigen had the perfect response to them all.
Considering the dress’ slits from every angle, a fan named Alivia tweeted at Teigen, 30: “could’ve just worn pants.” The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model’s response? “Well, Alivia, hindsight is 20/20. Just like your mom when she named you with an ‘A’ instead of an ‘O.'” (Burn!)
Even better, Alivia loved the diss! “Getting Roasted by Chrissy. One more thing checked off the bucket list! @chrissyteigen THANK U ❤️.”
Not every commenter was as enthused to get a personalized message from Teigen, though. In response to a tweet from a commenter named Sean, who asked Teigen, “What happened to being a lady?” the new mom to baby Luna with husband John Legend quipped, “I am pretty sure you could clearly see I’m a lady.”
But Sean kept going. “No, you’re a woman, not a lady,” he wrote. “A lady doesn’t speak like you do or dress that way.” Which is when Teigen offered her sincerest (and most sarcastic) response:

Teigen hit the red carpet on Sunday night wearing a black Yousef Akbar gown with two of the boldest slits we’ve ever seen — and yes, she suffered a wardrobe malfunction. The disgruntled tweets immediately started rolling in, to which Teigen simply replied, “apologies to anyone harmed mentally or physically by my hooha.”
