Sidelined. Jana Kramer‘s Dancing With the Stars pro partner, Gleb Savchenko, might be sitting out during the next show. The hunky Russian dancer suffered a knee injury and has been trying to bounce back all week, but he may not be healed in time.
“Doctors have advised Gleb to rest his knee,” the ABC series tells Us Weekly in a statement. “In the meantime, he is helping Jana as she continues to rehearse for Monday’s show.”
Savchenko has been temporarily replaced by fellow pro Alan Bersten. “Sorry @kramergirl for not being able to [rehearse] with you today, hopefully my knee will be better and I can dance on Monday night @dancingabc thanks @alanbersten for standing in,” Savchenko, 33, captioned a Facebook photo of himself wearing a knee brace on Thursday.
He was joined by Kramer, 32, and Bersten in the pic, which the country singer also shared on social media.
“This. Is. not. A. Happy. Photo. ;(. @Gleb_Savchenko @Dance10Alan @DancingABC #dwts,” she wrote on Twitter.
Injuries are often common on DWTS due to the intense schedule. Last week, pro Sharna Burgess was unable to perform because of her own knee injury. Her partner, James Hinchcliffe, went on to earn a perfect score with Jenna Johnson.
