Independence Day: Resurgence actress Joey King revealed via Instagram on Wednesday, October 12, that her sister Kelli was hit by a semitruck. Thankfully, according to the actress, Kelli is going to be OK.
"My sister Kelli was in a terrible accident where she was hit by an 18 wheeler semi truck while bicycling to work yesterday morning," Joey wrote in an Instagram post. "She’s in great hands and is on the road to recovery. I’m just unbelievably grateful that she’s alive. Please keep her in your thoughts."
On Wednesday, Kelli posted a photo of herself in the hospital with their other sister, Hunter.

“Thank you @hunterkingactress for bringing me a lovely Lisa Frank activity book to keep me occupied! #90skidforever,” she captioned a selfie with the Young and the Restless actress and the neon coloring book. “P.S. Thank you for all the well wishes everyone! I am so thankful to be alive and on the road to recovery.”
In the snap, Kelli is wearing a hospital gown and has visible bruises on her face and two black eyes.
Prior to visiting her sister in the hospital, Hunter shared a throwback photo with Kelli along with an emotional message on Instagram.
“My homie since day one.. Kelli I'm so thankful that you're okay,” the soap star wrote. “God was lookin out for you yesterday. I love you so much and you bet your ass I'm gonna call you everyday to bug you and remind you how much you're loved. Gotta hold the loved ones tight and be thankful for each day💕 #youabossassbitch not even a semi truck can stop you👊”
