He got the dirt! Andy Cohen quizzed Vicki Gunvalson about her new boyfriend, Steve Lodge, during an appearance on Watch What Happens Live on Monday, June 20. The Real Housewives of Orange County vet revealed that she’s not in love yet, but she’s getting there.
“I’m very cautious, I’m very slow, there’s no need to rush anything,” Gunvalson, 54, told host Cohen. “I’ve been alone and single, I’ve been dating a lot of men, and it’s been very intimate, I mean, not intimate, but we go on dates.”
Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in May that Gunvalson was dating the retired police officer. Lodge is now a consultant at a public affairs firm in Anaheim, California.
“He’s older and he’s actually running for city council in November, so I hope everyone votes for him,” Gunvalson gushed.
Her beau is just as supportive of Gunvalson’s steady gig at Bravo, though he doesn’t really watch. “He doesn’t know much about,” she told Cohen. “He just said, ‘It’s your career, your work, and I support whatever you do.'”
Lodge is already fitting right in with the family. As previously reported, the couple went to a Los Angeles Angels baseball game on May 21 with Gunvalson’s daughter, Briana Wolfsmith-Culberson; her son-in-law, Ryan Culberson; and the young couple’s two children.
“[She] loves him,” Gunvalson told Cohen of what Briana thinks of Lodge. (Gunvalson is also the mom of son Michael with her first ex-husband, Michael J. Wolfsmith. She and her second ex-husband, Donn Gunvalson, were married from 1994 to 2014.)
Vicki’s new relationship is her first since her nasty split from longtime boyfriend Brooks Ayers. The pair split for the second time in August 2015. (Some of Gunvalson’s costars continue to believe that Ayers lied about his cancer diagnosis.)
When asked if Ayers has met Lodge, Gunvalson exclaimed: “God, no!”
