Time warp back to 1975! The first teaser trailer for the Fox TV remake of The Rocky Horror Picture Show has finally dropped and things are already getting totally weird and wacky.
The cult classic, which premiered more than 40 years ago, is reimagined with Laverne Cox starring as sexy mad scientist Dr. Frank-N-Furter. The role was originally played by Tim Curry, who has given his stamp of approval to the reboot by returning as the criminologist narrator.
In the clip, Janet (Victoria Justice taking on Susan Sarandon’s role) and Brad (played by newcomer Ryan McCartan, replacing Barry Bostwick) approach the creepy castle and are greeted at the door by sinister handyman Riff Raff. Soon after, Frank-N-Furter looks the engaged couple up and down as they stand in their underwear. Fans will have to wait to get a glimpse of the rest of the cast — which includes American Idol alum Adam Lambert in Meat Loaf’s original role, Eddie, and Christina Milian as Magenta.
The first trailer also features a tiny snippet of the catchy Rocky Horror Picture Show classic “Time Warp.” The Kenny Ortega–directed musical airs on Halloween 2016.
