Not your average mascara. Renowned celebrity makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury calls her latest product a “miracle mascara,” and for good reason.
Although Charlotte Tilbury Legendary Lashes mascara was only released on Friday, May 6, on charlottetilbury.com, it’s already worked its way onto the red carpet at the Super Bowl of fashion. Tilbury used the $32 staple to define the eyes of Karolina Kurkova and Poppy Delevingne, who both stunned in Marchesa at the 2016 Met Gala.
“Legendary Lashes were born on the red carpet,” Tilbury tells Us Weekly. “A thick, lush Hollywood false-lash effect enhances the length and shape of the eye, bringing out the color and framing the entire face … the longer the lashes, the more flattering the look.”
Tilbury’s passion for mascara stems back to her childhood. “I used to study the lashes of my favorite silver-screen sirens as a little girl and how they changed their eye shape,” Tilbury, who works with Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Garner and others, tells Us. “I was fascinated by the transformational power the shape of your lashes could have on your entire face.”
That obsession fueled an amazing new formula that includes marine glycogen, which stimulates lash growth, tamanu oil, which nourishes and strengthens each individual lash, and a blend of waxes for a bouncy, elastic texture that doesn’t flake off. The mixture of these ingredients means that all the common mascara #fails, such as smudging and flaking, are a thing of the past.
