She’s glowing!
Claire Danes had the ultimate Cinderella moment on the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala 2016’s pink, white and red carpet in NYC on Monday, May 2.
The Homeland actress, 37, turned heads in a pale blue princess gown by Zac Posen that actually lit up with fiber optics, perfectly embodying the theme of the night: Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. She finished with Eva Fehren jewels.
While her hair was swept into a Grace Kelly-inspired chignon by celeb stylist Peter Butler, she made a statement with a cherry red lip. Celeb makeup artist Matin prepped her pout with ChapStick Total Hydration 100% Natural in Soothing Vanilla before applying the matte NARS Lana Audacious Lipstick.
Posen described the illuminated dress as “Celestial grandeur” in a teasing Instagram just hours before the Met Ball. “Guess who?” he continued.
The designer later shared an even more revealing video of Danes and the dress, which featured intricate pleating and drape work as well as lit-from-within boning. “Starry night! #Zacposen #metgala #glamour @metmuseum @voguemagazine @instagram,” he wrote.
What do you think of Claire’s stellar ensemble?
