Old Navy has lost the business of racists everywhere. The reason: On Friday, April 29, the retail chain offered a 30 percent discount to its customers in a tweet, featuring a gorgeous interracial family (a white father, a black mother, and their mixed-race child). “Absolutely disgusting. What’s next? Gender neutral bathrooms? Pedophilia acceptance propaganda!? Never shopping here again,” wrote one hateful troll, while another seethed, “Stop promoting miscegenation or else I’m taking my $$$ elsewhere.”

Sadly, this type of response is nothing new. When Cheerios released a commercial in 2013 starring a white mother and a black father, the campaign generated such strong racist backlash on YouTube that the comments section had to be closed.
But don’t lose faith in humanity just yet. “Hey @Old Navy, my family and I thank you for the diversity in this ad! #LoveWins, no matter what color,” tweeted one father, alongside a photo of his own mixed-race brood. Grace Mahary, the stunning model mom in the advertisement, posted her own response on Instagram, writing: "In light of the controversy revolving around my pretend family … I am proud to be representing interracial love, multiculturalism, and most importantly, a mentality that supports opportunity for all ethnicities. Thanks @oldnavy #lovewins #hatefreezone"
