Harrison Ford probably won't be wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat anytime soon. Donald Trump recently praised the actor’s film Air Force One, but Ford, 73, isn't thrilled about the kind words.
In a New York Times article published earlier this month, Trump, 69, said that his favorite film representation of a president was the 1997 action hit, which centered on Ford's commander-in-chief fighting back after his plane is highjacked.
"I love Harrison Ford — and not just because he rents my properties," the Republican presidential hopeful said. "He stood up for America."
The Star Wars actor appeared on Australian morning show Studio 10 on Wednesday, Dec. 9, where he was asked for his thoughts on Trump's remarks.
Ford started out by pretending that he thought the real estate mogul was running for "resident," not "president."
"So he's not only going to live there, he's going to run the show?" Ford, a longtime Democrat, quipped. "Not so much — I don't think so."
The Expendables 3 star added that he thought Trump might have been a bit confused.
"It's a movie, Donald. It was a movie," he said. "It's not like this in real life — but how would you know?"
Ford’s next film, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, hits theaters on Dec. 18.
