Us Weekly's newest issue reports that ever since Josh Duhamel was accused of having a one-night stand with a stripper, Fergie has been uncharacteristically quiet.
But the pop star, 34, was more ebullient in an interview with Cosmopolitan conducted before the scandal broke.
Fergie even told the women's magazine (in its December issue) what turns Duhamel on: body fat! After she gained weight for her role in the film Nine, the singer says Duhamel "was excited. He enjoys having both: the extra meat to grab when it's there and the tight stomatch when that's there." The actor now accused of cheating on her with an exotic dancer, she adds, has "never been critical."
The singer-cum-actress also suggests how she sees herself and her persona as a performer. "You know, in Italy" (where Nine takes place), "Catholic boys are raised to believe that there are two types of women: the Madonna and the whore. And me? I'm both."
The couple was married in a traditional Catholic ceremony on January 10, 2009.
Based on the classic Italian film 9 1/2, Nine is about the mid-life crisis of a renowned director (played by Daniel Day-Lewis) and the many women in his life. Fergie (using her real name, Stacy Ferguson, in the credits) portrays Saraghina — a prostitute from the director's adolescence.
