Erin Crabtree

Summary

Erin Crabtree works remotely from a small town outside Nashville, Tennessee. She watches TV obsessively, whether she gets paid to do so or not. She is a sucker for the Marvel franchise and the Arrowverse, but don’t ask her about the DCEU … unless you’re talking Wonder Woman. She counts Veronica Mars and Blair Waldorf as personal inspirations and can’t say no to a Hallmark Channel movie (it’s a year-round commitment at this point). Erin is a diehard feminist, chick-lit lover and binge-watcher.

Work or writing background leading to expertise

Erin joined the Us Weekly team in September 2017 as a TV recap writer. She took on the role of digital writer in February 2018, continuing to write recaps in addition to tackling news and features.

Erin’s friends know her as a Bachelor Nation expert. She covers the franchise via recaps and day-to-day news coverage. Though she has an encyclopedic knowledge of every major celebrity (she can ace a pop quiz on the Kardashians’ ages even though she’s not a big fan), her true passion is television, from pretty much anything on The CW to the staple of every TV fanatic’s watchlist: This Is Us.

She also works on the weekend team, writing and assisting with social media. The news may come fast, but her quick typing can keep up!

Education

Erin majored in English and minored in elementary education at Belmont University in Nashville. She graduated in 2015 but, as a former admissions office employee, still proudly stumps for her alma mater any chance she gets.

Work history

Erin got her start as an editorial assistant at Nfocus Magazine in 2014, reporting, researching and writing about Nashville’s social scene as well as editing and helping with social media. After college, she moved on to Her Campus, where she worked as an assistant editor from 2015 to 2016 before being promoted to entertainment editor in late 2016. In this role, she ran her own vertical, managed writers and editors, and cultivated TV coverage from the ground up. Her writing has also been featured in HelloGiggles, INSIDER and Man Repeller.
