The son of a child psychologist and fertility doctor, Pascal spent two decades trying to break into the industry by landing guest roles on TV series like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, The Good Wife, Homeland and The Mentalist before getting his big break on Game of Thrones in 2014. Following his portrayal of Oberyn Martell on the HBO hit, Pascal went on to star as Javier Peña in Netflix’s crime drama Narcos from 2015 to 2017.

Moving on to another major franchise, Pascal landed the lead role on the Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian in 2019. Since 2023, he has also portrayed Joel in the HBO apocalyptic drama The Last of Us.
When it comes to the big screen, the Chile native has starred in a variety of films including 2011’s The Adjustment Bureau, 2017’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle and 2020’s Wonder Woman 1984.

Off-screen, Pascal is an activist for LGBTQIA+ rights and openly supported his sister, Lux Pascal, when she came out as transgender.
