Prince Edward

The Earl of Wessex was born on March 10, 1964, at Buckingham Palace and is a member of the British royal family. He is the youngest child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
After attending the Heatherdown School and Gordonstoun, the earl took a gap year in his education to teach in New Zealand before returning to study at Jesus College in Cambridge. In 1986, he graduated from the University of Cambridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in history.
While Edward spent a brief time as a Royal Marine, he eventually moved on to become a theatre production assistant before forming his own company, Ardent Productions.
In 2002, the earl stepped down from the company in order to take on full-time duties as a working member of the royal family, holding patronage within over 70 charities and organizations, including the Sport and Recreation Alliance and British Paralympic Association.
Edward married Sophie Rhys-Jones in 1999, just after he was officially given the title of Earl of Wessex. The couple have two children: Lady Louise Windsor and James Viscount Severn.
In 2019, Edward was given the additional title of Earl of Forfar. In September 2022, he became 12th in line for the British throne following the passing of his mother Queen Elizabeth II.
