Making a change. Amanda Stanton revealed on Thursday, May 31, that she underwent breast augmentation surgery in February.
“So I know you guys have been asking me so many questions about my boob job, and it’s taken me a while to write this because I am a little bit uncomfortable about it,” Stanton said on her Instagram Story. “Let’s not make this weird, OK?”
The Bachelor alum’s plastic surgeon, Dr. T.Y. Steven Ip, spoke to Us Weekly exclusively about her choice to have the procedure. “Amanda first expressed interest in a breast augmentation at the end of last year,” he says. “Because of the holidays and her busy schedule, we ended up setting the date in the new year.”
Ip explains that the 28-year-old reality star was “a little nervous about the idea of getting surgery but really excited and confident in her decision.”
The doctor says the mom of two was careful when selecting the size of her new breasts: “Amanda didn’t want anything overwhelming or to go big. She actually wanted the exact opposite — something on the smaller side and more natural-looking. She wanted implants that were proportionate to her body, so she settled on a size B, which was a 255 cc implant.” He adds: “We looked over some images during her consultation and pre-op appointments and narrowed down the look she was wanting.”
The Bachelor in Paradise star selected SoftTouch implants. “The feel of this implant is a nice balance between the standard breast implant and the denser gummy bear implant,” Ip explains. “It also gives a shape that is a little fuller up top than the classic implant, so they give you a little hint of upper cleavage, which is sexy yet still really soft and feminine!”
Stanton bounced back from the operation quickly, too. “Her surgery date was [February] 28, and recovery typically takes about one to two weeks,” her doctor tells Us. “Amanda recovered very well and was back to traveling and her normal life within nine days. She said it was a lot easier than she expected. She is completely thrilled about her result, and she looks absolutely amazing!”
