Sweat equity. Diane Kruger wore a red bikini top to reveal the results of all her hard work at the gym after welcoming her daughter with boyfriend Norman Reedus in November.
“Am I showing off ? F–k yeah. ‘cause it’s been hard work to get my abs back,” the 42-year-old captioned a photo that showed her wearing black polka-dot pants as she knelt on a mat with workout equipment behind her. “I didn’t think it was possible after having a baby. And certainly not at my age.”
“I want to thank @hannahbower2 for sharing her journey and helping me get motivated,” the Troy actress added in a shout-out to the bodybuilder and gymnastics coach. “I don’t have a trainer, but I’ve been committed to get my body back. For myself first….but also for my [spirit] The female body is AMAZING.” She added the hashtag #andyesIminabikiniworkingoutcauseitshothereandwhynot.
Us Weekly exclusively revealed in May last year that Kruger and the Walking Dead star, who started dating in March 2017, were expecting their first child together.
Reedus, 50, shared a glimpse of their baby girl, whose name has not been revealed, on Christmas Eve, when he posted a photo on Instagram showing the newborn’s hand holding his. “A lot to be thankful for this year,” the Boondock Saints star captioned the pic. “[Love] this one especially.”
Kruger opened up in an interview earlier this year about her decision to wait to have her baby later in life.
“I didn’t think I wanted children for a long time,” she told Porter Edit in a cover story published in January. “I was too selfish. But by the time I got to about 35, I thought, yes, I probably do want one. But then you have to wait for the right person to come along.”
Reedus, who shares son Mingus, 19, with ex Helena Christensen, has been helping his girlfriend get to grips with the challenges of parenting.
“He’s so calm, and he teaches me a lot because he’s done it before,” she told the publication. “There’s definitely something to be said for being with someone who is doing it for the second time.”
