As Us Weekly detailed in January, Alves, 31, has spent a whopping $250,000 in his pursuit of the perfect body, and traveled the globe to undergo four nose jobs, a jaw reconstruction, cheek and chin fillers, eye lifts, and five liposuction treatments, among countless other maintenance procedures. “I’m going to be turning 32 in July and clearly the signs of aging are starting to show up,” Alves told Us before going under the knife for his FUT procedure (Follicular Unit Transplantion) with Beverly Hills surgeon Dr. John Kahen.

Fighting hair loss prior to his procedure by taking pills and lotions to stimulate hair growth, Alves will also have plasma injected into his scalp. “I take so much pride in my look and losing hair has been extremely distressing,” said Alves, who told Us he suffers depression and insomnia as a result. “In order to go out [pre-surgery] I used a colored hair makeup to cover the missing gaps of hair on my head.”

Alves, who appeared on E!’s Botched in May, most recently underwent a nose job, where physicians injected cartilage from his ears into his nose to correct breathing issues.

“Plastic surgery has changed my life. I am much more confident and happy today,” Alves, an avid Instagram user who hashtags his photos with #plasticpositive, told Us in January. “There are a lot of trolls online and people’s opinion hasn’t had an impact at all.” Alves also works as an image consultant for men, and calls his side career of giving back to others “rewarding.”

Speaking of that Human Ken Doll distinction, Alves told Us he isn’t bothered by it or public perception of his looks. “People started to nickname me, but it doesn’t bother me — I have fun with it,” said Alves. “I’m truly happy with my look.”
